Nocciolino Liqueur
Nocciolino was originally conceived and then patented by Giovanni Capella & Co. of Chivasso just after the Second World War. In 1950 the Chivasso City Council granted Capella & Co. permission to decorate the liqueur's label and trademark with the city's coat of arms (the decision, no. 216, was made by the Town Council on 5 December 1950). Capella & Co. registered the patent with the Patent Office at the Ministry of Industry & Commerce on 28th April 1959, patent no. 149458. The patent was then sold to other companies when Capella & Co. ceased trading.
The characteristics of our liqueur and its production techniques
Nocciolino di Chivasso is a sweet liqueur with a 24% alcohol level made primarily with infused hazelnuts. The hazelnuts are steeped in alcohol in order to extract the nut's essential oils. Water, alcohol, aromas and spices are all added to the infused hazelnuts for roundness and the liqueur is then aged in stainless steel tanks.
